X-ray  Mirror Replication in Nagoya (February 2001)
1. Sizing the foils held between smooth ground & shaped SS flats prior to cutting

 


2.  Three-Slip Motorised Roller for shaping the foils to approx. cones

 


3. A stack of rolled Al foils in a Si  sheet gasket on a heat-forming mandrel in an oven and connected to a vacuum pump.

 



 
4.  A Glass mandrel with a mask for Pt coating in a DC sputtering machine.



5.  Inside of the DC sputtering machine prior to the mounting of a glass mandrel for coating.
